BAD HISTORY MONTH

Fat History Month-the drummer=Bad History Month. We are super stoked to be able to host this amazing duo gone solo. Fresh from SXSW, be ready to here some true blue songwriting without the whole singer/songwriter shtick. Stonechat, Blank Stare, con trails and Willis will rock along side this beast from the northeast to demolish your monday blues. Though, sometimes the keyboard in stonechat is kind of bluesy and Bad History Month songs can evoke some sad feelings.......but in a GOOD way. See ya tomorrow.

Hello!/Wei Zhongle

Alright! Let's get to it. We are stoked to finally get this thing going. There have been some major changes throughout every operation of Cafe Ventana. We decided to start this blog to focus on one of the most important things: Shows.

We have been doing DIY style shows consistently since December and we are only picking up speed. With a packed March and April it seems important to have one place where you can go to find all the information regarding our upcoming shows and events.

So let's get started:

On March 8th, Wei Zhongle from Chicago, IL will be gracing us with their presence. Since they contacted me weeks ago I haven't been able to stop listening to their music and watching their videos. I could think of a thousand different ways to try to explain their complex original sound and none of them would do it justice. So instead I will just post a few links for you to check out.

Joining them that night are some of my favorite STL acts. Eric Hall (electronic/ambient god), Crucial (Math trio that surpasses the technical skills of your favorite "piglet-rip off band" and doesn't rip off piglet), and Con Trails (slu two piece that relentlessly throws down the feels and riffs).

See ya soon!
